Amrut-IGL Partnership

In a historic decision Amrut Distilleries Bangalore, known for their Globally famous Premium IMFL brands, have partnered with India Glycols Limited, known for its best quality extra neutral alcohol and packaging standards. The partnership is on Royalty basis for the following brands, for North India markets:

1. Amrut’s MaQintosh Whisky
2. Amrut’s Old Port Rum
3. Amrut’s Bejois XO Brandy
4. Amrut’s MaQintosh White Label Whisky

The brands listed from point 1 to 3 were launched over three decades ago while brand listed on point 4 is the brain child of IGL-Amrut Partnership and will be launched as a challenger brand to competition. Late Mr. N. R. Jagdale, the then CMD of Amrut, and now his son Mr. Rakshit Jagdale & Son-in-law Mr. Vikram Nikam are at the MD & Jt. MD of Amrut respectively. Mr. U. S. Bhartia is the chairman & MD of India Glycols Limited. Both the companies are known for their highest business ethics & values. This is the first time that Amrut Distilleries has franchised its brands anywhere in India. By this partnership IGL gets its footprint in Premium IMFL segment in various North Indian states. While IGL is able to complement its brand portfolio with these Premium brands, further some other brands which are in the process of being launched on Royalty. IGL is known for its quality ENA & packaging standards and sales & distribution muscle. Amrut & IGL partnership marks the new beginning in liquor industry. The arrangement is long term in which IGL will build the brands in the market on franchisee basis.

Amrut’s MaQintosh Whisky

MaQintosh whisky has excellent Emerald Green bottle with contemporary brilliant Label and Mono-carton. It’s known for its floral and Nutty taste with a hint of peat & smoke.

Amrut’s Old Port Rum

This brand is the 6th largest selling rum in the world and maintaining its record for the last several years, selling 2.1 million in 2023.

Amrut’s Bejois XO Brandy

The brand is made from Bangalore blue grapes, distilled in Amrut’s special brandy stills. The brand is matured in imported American oak barrels.

Amrut’s MaQintosh White Label Whisky

MaQintosh White Label Whisky is a new expression of the mother brand MaQintosh first time being launched under the partnership of Amrut-IGL. The brand is aimed at Young & Trendy consumers. The overall packaging gives a very contemporary look and is capable of getting new recruits as well as taking away market share from leader brands.
